Thomas Ng receives recognition at the Steward Leadership Summit as Genashtim joins the rank of Steward Leadership 25 (SL25). SL25 showcases the best examples of steward leadership in businesses in the Asia Pacific and within the region that operate to create a collectively sustainable world.
Thomas joins B For Good Leaders Steward Council to advise and support a global community of over 30,000 purpose-driven executives.
On behalf of Genashtim, Thomas receives the Sustainability Award for thinking beyond profit and for conducting socially and environmentally sustainable business practices. As a B Corp member, Genashtim adheres to the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
Born out of Thomas’ passion to give hope to the people that the corporate world had left behind, APSIPA confers Genashtim with its Inclusive Business Award. About 60% of its staff are people with different disabilities, 25% are refugees, and another 10% are LGTBQIA+ and senior citizens across more than 10 countries.
Thomas Ng, Genashtim’s Founder and CEO, sets the standard by pioneering eLearning in Asia with the organization’s unique social impact business model.
All of Thomas’ efforts empower those shunned by society through innovative ways of providing sustainable employment for the “unemployable” Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Middle Eastern refugees. In 2020, 55% of Genashtim’s employees were people with disabilities, 30% refugees, and 5% retirees.
Thomas’ mission of hiring “unemployables”, specifically PWDs and Middle Eastern refugees, to provide global e-learning and online digital services is awarded recognition by the Social Enterprise Network (SEN).
In the first-ever Brands for Good Awards, Genashtim, a pioneer of collaborative eLearning in Asia, receives recognition for championing best practices for diversity and inclusiveness, and becomes an honouree for Corporate Giving.
